New fish stocks

Masses of tiny monsters were stocked into pools three and four at Dilhorne this weekend in an ongoing campaign to improve our waters and secure quality fishing for many years to come.
Two thousand beautiful little commons and mirrors were purchased from Rodbaston aquaculture centre with a view to growing them on in our fishable stock pools and eventually stocking them across our portfolio of waters. This will be a long process but will be well worth the effort in the long term.
Earlier stockings are now paying dividends for anglers with carp, tench, bream, chub and ide showing well in catches and growing on nicely.
As the fish reach the weights and sizes to be moved on to other waters we will continue to replenish the stock pools with small fish to create an ongoing nursery to provide the best possible fishing for existing members and future generations.
Mighty oaks take time to mature but the seeds are now well and truly sown.
