A great FREE day out in Staffordshire for all the family

Fenton and District Angling Society are very excited to announce the return of the open day on Sunday 10th August 2014.

For those who are not familiar with previous open days, this promises to be a fabulous day out and entry is totally free.
We have a host of attractions already booked for this year and have already had enquiries for next year.

Discount fishing tackle will be available with an extra discount on production of a Fenton & District AS membership card, coarse and game fishing dealers will be in attendance as will a host of other stalls and attractions including stalls from the Angling Trust, Inland Waterways Association, Environment agency and Canal and river trust.

There will be an extensive display promoting the society and it’s waters, membership cards will be on sale throughout the day, society officials will be on hand to give advice to all members and potential members whether they be coarse, carp, pike, game or match anglers.

Professional angling coaches will be on the bank to pass on hints and tips and demonstrations will be taking place including fly casting and tying and if you have never tried fishing, a chance to give it a go.

There will also be attractions to entertain all the family including a fantastic display by the owl experience, a group dedicated to the welfare of birds of prey.
There will be a display of chainsaw art including practical demonstrations.
Refreshments will be available including hog roast, barbecue and licensed bar.

There will of course be plenty of other exhibits to occupy you throughout the day, pet stalls, gift stalls, raffles and tombola with great prizes to be won will all be on offer.

Ample roadside parking is available with a short walk to the activities, disabled parking is onsite.

Negotiations are ongoing with several more potential exhibitors and a full list will be posted soon,
