The open day and country fair is getting ever nearer (Sunday 10th August 2014.) and the organisers are hard at work putting the finishing touches to what we hope will be a fantastic day out for our members, exhibitors and the general public.
The show is predominatnly angling related but a host of other attractions have been booked to involve the wider community, to ensure that there is something for all the family to enjoy.
The confirmed exhibitors are :
Fenton and District Angling Society
We will be promoting the society with an extensive display of our waters and facilities, officials will be on hand to answer questions and offer expert advice. Half price adult membership cards will be available for the open day only.
Tombola and raffle
Fantastic prizes to be won, generously donated by tackle dealers and members
Trentside angling supplies and Bucknall bikes and fishing tackle.
Local tackle dealers who will be offering show only discount fishing tackle with an extra discount for members of Fenton and district A.S.
Cookshill fly fishing supplies
Local fly tying suppliers with a huge range of materials for the game fishing enthusiast.
Potteries fly tiers
Expert fly tiers will be giving displays and tuition with a step by step guide to tying your first fly or improving your technique
Anglers from the Professional angling association will be at the waterside to give free coaching and advice.
Fly casting tuition
Expert fly anglers will be giving casting tuition at the waterside

Dedicated to promotion, conservation and restoration of canal and river systems, see the waterways from another perspective.
Churnet Valley Living Landscapes Partnership
A group supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. From flora and fauna to the promotion, management and history of the beautiful Churnet valley.
A superb display of commissions from internationally renowned taxidermist Rob Marshall.
A practical demonstration of chainsaw carving featuring some stunning creations from local tree surgeon Anthony Hammond.

Food and refreshments
There will be a licensed bar provided by The Anchor Inn at Tean, Locketts Oatcakes from Fenton will be supplying the food and for dessert the wonderful ice cream of Vitaliano’s.
